Mapo tofu
This is my favorite dish which is Mapo tofu
Mapo doufu or mapo tofu is a popular Chinese dish from Sichuan province. It consists of tofu set in a spicy sauce, typically a thin, oily, and bright red suspension, based on douban (fermented broadbean and chili paste) and douchi (fermented black beans), along with minced meat, usually pork or beef. Variations exist with other ingredients such as water chestnuts, onions, other vegetables, or wood ear fungus.

回复删除Wow! I love Mapo Tofu! The last time I've had it was just last week. The picture looks better than what I had actually eaten. I'm a food lover, and now it makes me want to some of these in my stomach. Ha ha. Great post!
回复删除I love to eat Mapo tofu as well! The spiciness of this dish is different at every restaurant and I'm always scared to order it and it ends up being too spicy for me but I do enjoy eating it! I have not tried a traditional Map tofu so I don't know how the authentic dish should taste like...
